Facebook Going Geo?

written: August 18, 2010

Today is the day the world finds out what Facebook is going to do to enter the geolocation game; at least that is the rumor… We first heard about this rumor on BoomTown and it has been spreading like wildfire.

All rumors come to a close today, at 7:30 EDT, when Facebook holds their news event. I know this is late notice, but sound off below on what you think is going to happen! Is FourSquare in trouble? Is this going to to be the breaking point for geolocation applications?

I can only see good things coming from this announcement. That is if Facebook doesn’t ruin it by closing it down.

Stay tuned, I will write a follow-up post once the announcement is made.
